One of my biggest goals for this year was to focus on being really and truly happy. A lot of my quest for genuine happiness has been focused on letting go of people and situations that cause added anxieties and take away from my happiness. Learning how to be happy has not been a linear journey and one happiness coach that I wanted to shout out is the inspiring and insightful Gretchen Rubin. I was first introduced to Gretchen Rubin through her novel The Happiness Project where she goes month by month of the year and focuses on increasing happiness in a different aspect of her life.
About a month and a half ago I started listening to podcasts on Spotify while I fall asleep, or a meditation, and one podcast I stumbled upon was hosted by none other than Gretchen Rubin and her sister Liz Craft. Together they cover a huge amount of topics related to being happy and living the best, most productive, and healthy life possible. They have produced over 150 podcasts while also being wildly successful at many other endeavors.
Happiness is not something to be gained over night, but listening to these ladies share their thoughts, research, and practices aimed at developing and improving happiness,I feel like I can get closer to becoming a little happier.
