Ways to Pick Yourself Up

For the days you’re not feeling quite yourself or need to re-energize. It took a long time to learn that doing things that I enjoy during the day is not selfish and is not a waste of time because that time helps me recharge and get ready to face the next day. These are some of the things that I do to pick myself up.

  • Do a 10 minute yoga salutation
  • Write out how you’re feeling even if journaling feels silly
  • Clean up your desk, or the floor of your room
  • Put on a face mask
  • Doodle, or color
  • Clean out your purse
  • Meditate
  • Make a playlist
  • Take a bath
  • Watch your favorite Youtuber
  • Practice gratitude
  • Clean out your phone
  • Write down three good things that happened to you today
  • Go outside and practice deep breathing
  • Read one chapter of a book
  • Drink a whole glass of water, and not anything else until you finish that glass
  • Listen to a podcast
  • Paint your nails
  • Use luxury samples (Sephora, Ulta, and many make-up counters will give you samples for free) it’s a cheap way to get that high end feeling for cheap.
  • Dance it out
